LeRoy Goertz LeRoy Goertz (May 17 & 18, 2008)

This is the second time LeRoy Goertz has taught for BEADS & BEYOND.  Students loved his classes the last time he taught and they produced an unbelievable number of finished projects!  LeRoy is a very talented individual.  He has built furniture, made lampwork beads, designed jewelry and is now casting bronze sculptures in addition to working with the Coiling Gizmo which he invented! The Gizmo, invented eleven years ago, is the result of LeRoy's addiction for making coiled wire beads.  He knew there could be a faster and easier way.  Prior to developing the Gizmo, LeRoy was coiling wire by hand the way jewelrysmiths had been doing for centuries. It was the look of the beads that got him hooked.  His addiction for making coiled wire beads led him to figure out how to make a tool for coiling......and the Coiling Gizmo was born!

LeRoy will be teaching a two day class using the Professional Deluxe Model of the Coiling Gizmo.  Imagine making a wire bead in five minutes! or a bracelet in 15 minutes!  You can do it with the Coiling Gizmo.  With practice, your Gizmo will make magic happen with wire!  You can learn more about The Coiling Gizmo and LeRoy's work on his websites - www.coilinggizmo.com and www.leroygoertz.com

CLASSES ARE LIMITED TO 12 STUDENTS.

Maggie Meister Maggie Meister (July 25 - 27, 2008)

Maggie will be our last guest instructor!  And she is bringing us two new projects as a last hurrah!  She is still finishing the designs and we won’t have them until sometime in May.  So you have to trust us that they will be great!  For those of you that follow Maggie’s work, we know you won’t be disappointed!

Maggie has been teaching for BEADS & BEYOND twice a year since 2004!  If we had our way, Maggie would be here or every class session.  Maggie now teaches nationally and at the Bead & Button Show in addition to working for Beadventures leading tours to Italy and Turkey.  Maggie worked for BEADS & BEYOND before she and her family were transferred to Naples, Italy where the Roman columns, mosaics and frescoes became her inspiration.

You can find more of Maggie’s work on her website www.mmmbeads.com

CLASSES ARE LIMITED TO 16 STUDENTS.
